The Creative Spark
For as long as I can remember, I've had an innate drive to create. Whether sitting in the passenger seat of a car or lying awake at night, my mind naturally drifts toward solving daily problems and optimizing tasks. What started as restless curiosity has evolved into a passion for building elegant software.
My Philosophy: Simple vs. Easy
In 2023, I took the leap and began my dream journey to become a Software Engineer. My focus is on solving complex issues within massive codebases specifically regarding scalability and efficiency.
I am a firm believer in the philosophy of simplicity. I strive every day to ensure my code is simple, and I am careful not to confuse "simple" with "easy." While many AI tools make it easy to generate code quickly, they often sacrifice the long-term maintainability that truly simple architecture provides.
Professional Experience
During my internship at Strømlinet, an energy provider, I saw firsthand the value of strong project management. I joined the team as it grew from two to five developers, a transition that required us to embrace agile methodologies and rigorous structure.
I learned that the foundation of any great product is thorough communication and planning before the first line of code is even written. Balancing the maintenance of a legacy system while building out a modern platform taught me how to manage technical debt while pushing for innovation.
Looking Forward
As I enter 2026 with my final two semesters ahead of me, I've found my niche in CI/CD, Backend Development, and System Planning. While I enjoy working with React and Next.js, my heart lies in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), specifically within the .NET and Java ecosystems. I look forward to applying these skills to build robust, scalable systems in the professional world.
